Before we ever move your site to our servers, we dig in. Quietly. Carefully. Respectfully. The goal is simple — make the transition smooth and uneventful. No surprises. No downtime. No finger-pointing.
Step one? We find your domain.
You’d be surprised how often clients don’t know where their domain is registered. Maybe it was set up five years ago. Maybe someone else bought it. Maybe it’s under an old email address or still in GoDaddy, Namecheap, Network Solutions — who knows. We’ll run a quick WHOIS check, walk you through finding it, and help you gain access if needed.
Next, we back everything up.
No matter how bad the host is, we make a full copy of your current site before we touch anything. That includes the files, the database, and any configurations worth saving. We don’t rely on your current host’s backups either. We take our own.
Then we analyze the site itself. What’s it built with? WordPress? Magento? Some dusty old Drupal install that hasn’t been touched since 2014? We’ve seen it all. WordPress is our specialty, but we can host just about anything. What matters is setting up the server the right way for your platform, not forcing your site into a box that doesn’t fit.
If someone else is involved — your IT guy, your last web designer, your cousin’s nephew who learned coding on YouTube — we talk to them directly. We’ve done this for over a decade. We know how to keep things professional, even if the last person wasn’t.
When we take over hosting, it’s not just a server switch. It’s an upgrade in every direction — speed, security, reliability, and support that doesn’t vanish when something goes sideways.
